The UNESCO World Heritage Site of Bordeaux is not only famous for its amazing museums and churches, but also for its wine. Any foodie will know that this spectacular region is the wine capital of the world, with several classifications ensuring that the wine remains of the very highest quality.

Needless to say, the region offers the perfect opportunity to take part in wine tasting tours. Aside from its reputation as a wine-lovers dream, Bordeaux is also the world's largest urban World Heritage Site as well as straddling the beautiful River Garonne, which itself offers an abundance of riches from the riverside.

The Stone Bridge, complete with 17 arches, crosses the river and offers exceptional views over the docks and harbour, whilst old Bordeaux can be explored with a stroll through the Triangle d'Or and Place des Quinconces, France’s largest public square.
