What is the P&O Cruises Peninsular Club?

The Peninsular Club is P&O Cruises’ loyalty programme, designed to reward guests each time they sail. 

Unlike some loyalty schemes that require you to sign up, the Peninsular Club is automatic. Once you’ve completed your first cruise, you’ll begin earning points that count towards future benefits.

How does the Peninsular Club work?

The Peninsular Club uses a simple points system that accumulates each time you cruise with P&O Cruises. 

For each night you spend onboard, you’ll earn 10 loyalty points, which determine your position within the Peninsular Club tiers and unlock additional benefits as you progress. 

Once you’ve reached a certain number of points, you’ll move up to the next tier, unlocking additional benefits along the way.

You’ll automatically join the programme after your first cruise, and your points will continue to build over time. There’s no need to re-register or keep track of anything yourself.

It’s also worth noting that your points don’t expire. So, whether you cruise regularly or return every few years, everything you’ve earned stays with you.

As you continue to cruise with P&O Cruises, your points will move you through the six tiers of the Peninsular Club. 

Each tier is based on the number of nights you’ve spent onboard, with 10 points earned per night.

  • Pacific Tier: 150 - 500 points
  • Atlantic Tier - 501 to 1,000 points
  • Mediterranean Tier: 1,001 to 2,000 points

How do I check my P&O loyalty points?

You can check your current membership tier by logging into the My Account section on the P&O Cruises website. Here, your membership level and points balance will be displayed.

When are Peninsular Club points awarded?

Points are awarded once you’ve completed your cruise. This means you won’t move up a tier mid-cruise. Instead, you’ll enjoy any new benefits on your next P&O Cruises holiday.

When do I become a Peninsular Club member?

Once you’ve completed 15 nights onboard (150 points), you’ll automatically become a member of the Peninsular Club and enter the Pacific Tier.

How do I move up through the tiers?

You’ll earn 10 points for every night onboard, and as your points increase, you’ll move through the tiers. Each new level unlocks additional benefits for future cruises. 

How do I know if I qualify for the Baltic or Ligurian Tier?

For the highest tiers, there’s an additional requirement alongside your points balance. 

  • Baltic Tier: Requires at least 2,501 points, plus between 80 and 200 nights onboard within the three years before your next cruise.
  • Ligurian Tier: Requires at least 2,501 points, plus 201 or more nights onboard within the same three-year period. 

This three-year timeframe is measured from the embarkation date of your next cruise.

Do Peninsular Club benefits apply to children?

Yes, younger guests can also benefit from the programme.

Guests aged 16 to 18 receive the same benefits as adults, with alcohol replaced by non-alcoholic alternatives. Children aged 17 and under will receive an age-appropriate gift, along with any onboard discounts linked to their tier. 

Can children transfer their onboard discount to an adult?

No, onboard discounts are linked to each individual guest and can’t be transferred to another account.

Will I earn points when travelling with P&O Cruises’ sister brands?

No, Peninsular Club points are only earned when sailing on P&O Cruises ships. 

Will my onboard discount apply if I book shore excursions before my cruise?

Yes, if you book shore excursions before departure, any applicable onboard discount will be based on the tier you’re expected to be in at the time of embarkation, not when you make the booking.

For world cruises, the discount is based on your predicted tier at the start of the specific cruise segment when the excursion takes place.

Can I earn Peninsular Club points and Cruise Miles at the same time?
